Putting My Experience
For the past ten years I have worked in our community as a volunteer holding multiple different roles with local non-profits. From cleaning our streets to Assistant Board Chair at True Life Ministries formerly known as Lebanon Valley Youth for Christ (YFC). In those different roles, I have learned to understand the need to find the root causes to an individuals conduct. Addressing the cause will not only keep the individual accountable without oppression but it will benefit our community because the inidividual will have the opportunity to address the root cause.
Once the individual addresses the root cause then the individual will be able to become a thriving community member. How will this be done? By partnering with our local county commission boards or organizations that have programs in place to address certain issues. The minor court system was created to keep individuals accountable not to oppress the vulnerable. This is why if elected I will put in place humane alternatives to excessive fines. Keeping individuals accountable.
